To provide a functional and secure VR multiplayer experience, we collect and process the following specific data:
Meta Account Data: We access your Oculus/Meta Username and Unique User ID (Oculus ID) via the Meta SDK.
Usage: To identify your account, sync your cross-device save data, and manage your position on global leaderboards.
Transaction Data: For in-app purchases (IAP), transactions are handled by the Meta Quest Store.
Usage: we receive a Purchase Token to verify and grant your digital items. We do not see or store credit card numbers or billing addresses.
Network & Technical Data: We collect IP Addresses and Device Hardware Info (e.g., Quest 2 vs. Quest 3) via Microsoft PlayFab.
Usage: To route you to the lowest-latency regional server and optimize performance/graphics for your specific headset.
Performance Metrics: We collect Crash Logs and FPS data.
Usage: Solely for debugging and improving game stability.
Transient Audio: We use Photon Voice for real-time chat. Your microphone audio is processed only to transmit to other players in your vicinity.
No Storage: We do not record, store, or monitor your voice conversations. Audio data is never saved to our servers.
We share the minimum necessary data with these providers to run the game:
PlayFab (Microsoft): Stores player profiles and cloud saves.
Photon (ExitGames): Powers the multiplayer networking.
We respect your right to privacy and provide a direct mechanism for data removal.
How to Request Deletion: You may request the permanent deletion of all data associated with your account at any time. To do so, please use one of the following official channels:
Direct Email: Send a request to reportingapes@gmail.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request." Please include your Oculus Username.
Support Webform: You may also submit a request via our Contact Support Form (replace with your actual link if you have one).
What happens next: Upon receiving your request, we will verify your identity and purge your data from PlayFab and our local databases within 48 hours.
Note: Deletion is permanent. You will lose all in-game progress, currency, and items, as these are tethered to your Oculus ID.
Apes Paradise utilizes Meta’s Age Category API. We do not knowingly collect personal data from users under 13. If a user is identified as a child via the Meta platform, they are restricted to age-appropriate environments in compliance with COPPA.
